Cohens Kappa is a measure of compliance calculated in the same way as the example above. The difference between Cohen`s Kappa and what we just did is that Cohens Kappa also looks at situations where spleeners use certain categories more than others. This has an impact on the calculation of the probability that they will agree by chance. For more information, see Cohens Kappa. A 50% agreement is much more impressive if there are six options, for example. In this case, imagine that the two spleens roll a cube. Once in 6, they would get the same number. So a percentage of agreement by chance, if there are six options, it is 1/6 — about 17% approval. If two advisors agree 50% of the time, if they use six options, that level of agreement is much higher than we would have foreseen by chance. You gave the same answer.

If you want to calculate z.B. the match percentage between the numbers five and three, take five minus three to get the value of two for the meter. Multiply the quotient value by 100 to get the percentage parity for the equation. You can also move the decimal place to the right two places, which offers the same value as multiplying by 100. The order of agreement is part of the package irr (in summary for Inter-Rater Reliability), which is why we must first load this package: a major error in this type of Inter-Rater reliability is that it does not take into account a random agreement and overestimates the level of the agreement. This is the main reason why the percentage of consent should not be used for scientific work (i.e. doctoral theses or scientific publications). In the example above, there is therefore a significant convergence between the two councillors. In this competition, the judges agreed on 3 out of 5 points. The approval percentage is 3/5 – 60%. So on a scale from zero (chance) to a (perfect), your approval in this example was about 0.75 – not bad! The most important result here is %-agree, i.e. Your agreement as a percentage.
